Korean BBQ brand Mr. BBQ is moving into Las Vegas with a location planned for Shanghai Plaza in Chinatown. Licensing paperwork has been submitted to Clark County for the restaurant to operate in suite 101 at 4240 Spring Mountain Rd.

This address will put Mr. BBQ right next to Mama Chai’s, an upcoming new tea shop brand from the same owner, restaurateur Jenny Chai. What Now Las Vegas reached out to Chai on Thursday. She declined to comment on the news.

The Fullerton, CA Mr. BBQ location offers a veritable protein-fest, with meat offerings ranging from bulgogi and samgyeopsal (pork belly), to wagyu beef, to liver and veal intestine, to an exciting range of seafood choices, including octopus, squid, salmon, shrimp, and mussels. The menu also features several soup dishes along with beer, soju, and soju cocktails. It is unknown how closely, if at all, the Chinatown location’s menu will match that of the Fullerton Mr. BBQ.

The location is on the busy stretch of Spring Mountain Rd between Arville St and S Wynn Rd, part of Shanghai Plaza, a sizable shopping center that is home to a number of tasty dining spots, including H.K. Seafood Garden, Shinjuku Ramen, and Orchid Vietnamese.

No opening date has been announced for Mr. BBQ.
