Grove Bay Hospitality Group is Partnering Up with Top Chef Jeremy Ford to take over their Public Square Restaurant in Coral Gables and elevate it to Beauty and The Butcher, according to a press release Thursday.
Grove Bay Hopstilatly Group is a Miami-based company that originated in 2010. Their goal is to bring innovative restaurants with an excellent dining experience.
One of the co-founders and CEOs of Grove Bay Hospitality, Ignacio Garcia-Menocal announced in the official press release for the new restaurant, “Public Square had a good run but the restaurant has untapped potential. With Jeremy at the helm, we are confident that Beauty and The Butcher will offer a dining experience that only Jeremy can create.”
Chef Jeremy Ford is originally from Jacksonville, FL. He won season 13 of Bravo’s hit TV show Top Chef. As mentioned in Grove Bay’s official press release on Aug. 2 this is a project very near and dear to Chef Ford, “I’m excited to open a new restaurant in Miami! Especially in an area that’s so close to home.” The dining experience will be upscale, with seasonal plates and a focus on different meats.
Chef Ford added that the name Beauty and The Butcher is also very dear to him. “It’s a nod to my eldest daughter Madelynn (the beauty) and me (the butcher). When Madelynn came into my life, she made me a dad for the first time and gave me purpose. This one’s for her and her sisters.”
This will be yet another collaboration between Grove Bay Hospitality Group and Chef Ford. The two opened the Michelin star restaurant Stubborn Seed in Miami Beach in 2017.
Grove Bay Hospitality did state that Public Square restaurant is currently closed to the public.
