Launched by Tony Wang in Lanham, Maryland, back in 2013, Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar has been steadily adding franchise locations in the years since. The chain has reached about sixty total locations nationwide, with five currently operating in Florida, including two in Pembroke Pines. A North Miami Beach location is now in the works and will open this fall at 13699 Biscayne Blvd.

What Now Miami confirmed the news on the phone with a local representative of the restaurant on Monday morning. The representative declined to comment further.

Hook & Reel offers mix-and-match seafood boils, with guests choosing from proteins like Snow Crab Legs, Crawfish, Black Mussels, Scallops, and many more—including lobster tail and whole lobster. Guests then choose from sauces like Original Cajun, Lemon Pepper, and Hook & Reel Special Blend; pick a spice level (Mild, Spicy, or Fire); and add on extras like potatoes, sausage, or rice.

The menu also features a raw bar with Blue Point Oysters, soups and salads including Clam Chowder and Lobster Bisque, Po Boys, Sliders, and pasta dishes. A Kids Menu is available for diners age 12 and under.

The location on Biscayne Blvd is part of Keystone Plaza, a shopping center that features popular eateries like Sushi Sake, World Famous House of Mac, and Chicken Kitchen.
