Solita Tacos & Margaritas is gearing up to open in Anaheim, where it will be taking over the former Hooters at 2438 E. Katella Ave. near Angel Stadium.
According to public records obtained by What Now Orange County, revisions to building plans are under review implying, that the restaurant could be nearing its grand opening. The 7,050-square foot restaurant space has undergone interior renovations and is being updated to comply with accessibility requirements.
The concept combines Southern California’s laid-back lifestyle with great Mexican food and handcrafted margaritas to “celebrate the warmth and friendliness of Mexico,” according to their website. Inspired by old tequila distilleries, tequila barrels welcome guests at the door and the bar is stocked with a rotating collection of premium tequilas and mezcals.
The kitchen is equipped with an oak-fired Santa Maria grill and smoker to create their famous charro tacos and other wood-fired eats on the menu. What Now Orange County has reached out to representatives for solita Tacos & Margaritas for comment, so we will update if we hear back.
