Beloved burger chain Shake Shack will be making its much awaited first appearance in Orange County. Plans are in the works for a branch of the restaurant to open in Irvine at the Irvine Spectrum Center sometime in the summer of 2023.

Founded by iconic New York chef Danny Meyer in 2004 as a Kiosk in Madison Square Park, the brand has since exploded into an international hit and is at the forefront of a new generation of higher quality fast-food establishments. Currently, over 400 locations of the concept operate world wide.

Known for their smash burgers, the menu at Shake Shack features a few signature items, including the classic Shack Burger, the Smoke Shack that comes with bacon and chopped chilis, and the Shack Stack, where a fried portobello mushroom comes atop the patty. The concept also serves their signature crinkle cut fries, a variety of milk shakes, and a fried chicken sandwich.

On the move to expand into Orange County, CDO Andrew McCaughan wrote in a recent press release, “We are so excited…We see Orange County as a huge opportunity for the company and we can’t wait to serve our delicious burgers and shakes to the community.”
