A new restaurant and live music venue from the creators of The Warwick in Houston is expected to open near the Galleria sometime in 2023. Rockhouse Southern Kitchen will be located at 6025 Richmond Ave. in Houston, in the former space of Billy Blues Restaurant and Bar, as well as Diablo Loco.

Owners Rob Wright, Mazen Baltagi, Steven Rogers, and Kurt Agomuo developed the Rockhouse concept, which is inspired by robust Southern cuisine. The dining experience will feature comfort foods, hand-crafted libations, and live music.

The menu will feature dishes like oxtail egg rolls and Creole pizza, fried catfish, smoked collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. Lobster sliders, jerk chicken nachos, and wings will also be on the menu, according to a Houston Business Journal article.

“We want to go back to the roots of Southern culture, where music and good food are the celebration,” Wright said in a press statement.

The 14,000-square-foot-space will feature a large bar, an outdoor patio, and a stage. Nicki Dooms of NHI Designs will oversee the design of the space.
