7Spice Cajun Seafood is cookin’ up something new for the Greater Houston region. According to a press release and the brand’s website, the plan is to open in the Black Rock Commons shopping center at 15242 Wallisville Road by winter.

“Our growth has come from the support of the communities around us,” Tiffany Terry, 7Spice representative, said in the press release.

“These new locations will allow us to serve longtime guests closer to home and introduce 7Spice to new neighborhoods.”

The address sits near Channelview and the North Shore/New Forest area. Co-owner Truc Le confirmed the timeline with What Now Houston, sharing that the plan is to open the new Black Rock Commons 7Spice Cajun Seafood eatery in early December.

7Spice Cajun Seafood is a fast-casual restaurant chain founded in 2011 in Missouri City by Le and her husband, Vinh Thai. The fast-casual, quick-service Cajun-inspired seafood brand features made-to-order dishes, fresh (never frozen) ingredients, and house-made garlic butter sauces.

“Whether guests stop in for a quick lunch, pick up dinner or share seafood with family and friends, 7Spice offers generous portions and bold Cajun flavors at an affordable price,” the press release reads.

“The 7Spice menu features fried, blackened and boiled seafood, alongside gumbo, étouffée, po’boys, Cajun fried rice and chicken tenders. The restaurants combine made-to-order meals with convenient counter service and takeout.”

The brand name “7Spice” comes from the owner and founder’s recipe development: while building the menu, they realized that most of the signature seasoning blends and dishes incorporated at least seven distinct spices.

There are currently at least 20 active 7Spice Cajun Seafood locations throughout the Greater Houston area.

“As we expand, we want every location to reflect what our guests have come to expect from 7Spice,” Terry added.

“That means delivering the flavorful food, value, and welcoming experience that have defined our restaurants since we first opened.”
