Le Mignon, a unique concept that combines a bakery with an indoor playground, is set to open at 300 W Lancaster Ave this spring, according to owner Noelle Shum.
Noelle has not only been baking for over a decade but is also a mother of two children aged 2 and 4, which has given her unique insights into what today’s early childhood caregivers need. As such, she decided to open the 3,234-square-foot space that will house a bakery alongside the indoor playground, suitable for kids up to 5 years old.
What’s more, the bakery will eschew heavily-sugared treats in favor of high-end pastries made from quality ingredients, such as Basque Cake, a Spanish dessert that can be made with various twists like matcha, sweet potato, and durian flavors.
Meanwhile, the indoor playground – which can be rented out for parties – will feature a soft floor room that’s filled with carefully curated toys from around the world, and help children develop their fine motor, cognitive, and physical skills. Most of the toys will be made from wood, so parents can feel good about their children learning while playing with safe materials.
