Located at the corner of Tropicana Avenue and Duneville Street, Red Sea Bar and Restaurant has closed. It will be replaced by a new hookah concept, one also featuring Ethiopian cuisine and other small bites. Key Lounge will take over the former Red Sea space at 5795 W Tropicana Ave.

“We’ll cook sandwiches, rice, fish, pasta, and Ethiopian food,” a representative of Key Lounge told What Now on Monday.

The space will feature sofas, tables, and bar tables, with enough seating for about 70 guests, the representative said.

No further information is available just yet about Key Lounge. But hookah and Ethiopian food fans (and anyone looking for a relaxing time) need not cast about far to replace Red Sea in their lineup.

The location at 5795 W Tropicana Ave, which was home to Chupy’s Mexican Restaurant before Red Sea took over the space, is part of a small cluster of shops and restaurants near Club De Soleil. Neighboring eateries include Bernardo’s Pizza & Wings, Taqueria La Casa Del Pastor, and Del Taco.
