Dunkin’ Donuts continues to expand across America, this time with a new location potentially coming to Kirby at 2735 Kirby Rd.

Company franchisee IDH Alliance, who owns and operates at least a dozen locations throughout the greater Atlanta area, recently applied for a commercial new construction permit to open a new Dunkin Donuts with a drive-through window, according to permit records. The application is still pending, but if approved, this will be between Fast Pace Health Urgent Care and Kirby Gate business center. Considering this will be a newly constructed building, fans of the brand might not see this location open until next year.

This will be the 10th Dunkin’ Donuts in the greater Memphis area, with the following closest location being in East Memphis or near the Centennial Commons Shopping Center. While the company will have no problem seeing customers from the nearby Kirby Gate Shopping Center, it will have to compete with Starbucks, which also has a drive-through.

Dunkin Donuts has been a long-time competitor for the Seattle-based coffee shop, offering an east coast style to its menu. The American multinational coffee and doughnut company hopes to win its customers over with its affordable menu, including iced coffee, donuts, and breakfast sandwiches. Dunkin Donuts also offers a reward system that allows customers to earn free food and drinks.
