Growing Southern California restaurant Bushfire Kitchen has plans for another location, this time in Mission Viejo.

Planning documents show that a Bushfire Kitchen is underway at 24420 Alicia Parkway.

The restaurant currently has six locations: Eastvale, Menifee, Temecula, La Costa, Del Mar and the recently opened Rancho Cucamonga.

Bushfire Kitchen last year secured a partnership with the private investment firm CapitalSpring to continue the company’s expansion in Southern California and beyond.

The family-owned and family-operated restaurant was founded by cousins Clive Barwin and Brandon Barwin in 2012. The menu specializes in healthy comfort food, including sandwiches, salads, burgers and protein bowls, with a focus on fresh ingredients and accommodations available for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets. They also serve beer, wine and signature cocktails.

It was not immediately clear when the Mission Viejo location would be open.
