A Bethlehem staple is getting a sports bar makeover. Corked 2.0 will become 515 Main later this summer, reports local media outlet WFMZ.

The restaurant, located at 515 Main Street, will remain open as it undergoes the transformation from a fine dining establishment into a sports bar.

Owner, Chris Tiscio, is hoping to change the perception of the restaurant from upscale and inaccessible to casual and welcoming of all budgets and tastes. In addition to offering an array of delicious food options, 515 Main will provide sports enthusiasts with a bevy of ways to enjoy their favorite athletics.

Tiscio states “When customers walk through the door, it’s going to feel more like a sports bar and not like a fine dining restaurant anymore. That’s what we’re going for. We’re going to have NFL Sunday Ticket and sports games on all of the TVs. We’re also doing wing and clam specials.”

The establishment’s menu will undergo several alterations as it transitions from Corked to 515. The sports bar intends to continue serving some of Corks more popular dishes, including smoked gouda mac and cheese, and a truffle burger, while greatly expanding the appetizer options. While Cork guests can choose from six shareable appetizers, in a few weeks visitors to 515 will have 20 options to select from.

The building will undergo comprehensive cosmetic alterations to help shed Cork’s reputation as upscale and exclusive. Tiscio’s crew will be adding televisions and booths, moving the dance floor, and painting the exterior.

515 Main is aiming to open its doors by Musikfest in early August. The restaurant has yet to finalize its hours of operation but plans to initially be open between Tuesdays and Sundays, with Monday hours added during the football season.
