A beloved New York chain is planning to broaden its presence in the City of Brotherly Love in 2024. The Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is opening two new restaurants this year, reports The Philadelphia Business Journal.

Local franchisees Nick Sordoni, Alex Flack, and Stephen Hudacek are aiming to open the first of the two new locations at 3400 Lancaster Avenue by the end of February. Another Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is planned for 1504 Sansom Street with a yet-to-be-determined opening date.

The arrival of these two new locations will bring Brookly Dumpling Shop’s Philadelphia presence up to three restaurants. The chain debuted on the Philly dining scene in December of 2023, when it opened its first storefront at 308 South Street.

Sordoni, Flack, and Hudacek are hoping to expand to New Jersey once the Philadelphia restaurants are opened. The trio’s ultimate goal is to eventually open 40 Brooklyn Dumpling Shops across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
