Starbucks Plans Location in La Habra

The city held a public hearing regarding the matter.

According to city records, Starbucks aims to construct a 1,200-square-foot drive-through coffee shop at 541 East Whittier Boulevard. The project includes demolishing an existing 5,700-square-foot building and building a new construction.

The City of La Habra Planning Commission held a public hearing about the design review and conditional use permit. That happened on July 22, but the results of the hearing are not immediately available. 

Starbucks’ strategy to expand its global presence includes targeting a total of 55,000 stores by 2030, recent reports from the brand state; that’s a rate of eight new store openings per day. The company is targeting areas like Asia, Latin America, and South America.

The coffee giant achieved record sales of $36 billion in 2023, with over 75 million Starbucks Rewards members worldwide now. Requests to the brand for comment were not returned before publication.
