Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori Looks to Be Headed to Vegas

It would be the California-born restaurant’s first Nevada location

Founded in 1992, California-born family of restaurants Shin-Sen-Gumi Restaurant Group has opened a a number of restaurants under the Shin-Sen-Gumi umbrella, including Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori, Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen, and Shin-Sen-Gumi 2Go.

The restaurant group looks to be planning to make a debut in Las Vegas, as licensing paperwork submitted by SSG LV LLC shows an outpost of the Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori brand opening at 4810 Spring Mountain Road, Unit B.

The menu at Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori—the group’s original restaurant, located in Gardena, CA—features a wide range of Yakitori skewers, rice dishes like Chicken Karaage Curry Rice and Shin-Sen-Gumi Chazuke (Soaked rice in chicken stock w/ chicken meat and mushroom), and appetizers like Agedashi Tofu and Chikuwa Isobeage (deep fried chikuwa fish cake with dried green seaweed).

Behind SSG LV LLC is managing partner Sayaka Shigeta. What Now reached out to Shigeta to inquire about plans for a Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori in Las Vegas. Shigeta was not immediately available for comment.
