Marlton diners tired of burgers and fries will soon have a new option. Cava, who brings a Mediterranean flair to fast-casual cuisine, is preparing a new area location, reports local media outlet 42 Freeway.

The popular chain will be bringing its cuisine to a newly constructed space in Marlton Commons. Cava will occupy one quarter of the 10,800 square foot building being erected at 101 West Route 70. The strip mall will have space for four tenants; so far only Cava and First Watch have been announced.

Though it is too early in the process to predict an opening date, construction is underway on the site.

Cava will offer a distinct and different option from its Marlton Commons neighbors- Shake Shack, Friendly’s, and Honeygrow. Additionally, the desirable location will expose the eatery to foot traffic from shoppers at the nearby Shop Rite, Kohl’s, and Pet Smart.

Founded in 2006, Cava allows guests to choose from house recipes or to cobble together their own pitas, greens and grains bowls, and salads. The concept’s healthier approach to fast-casual cuisine has earned it a large fan-following, and the eatery now has over 300 open locations in the United States.
