After serving the community for over twenty years, Popo’s Fiesta del Sol has announced its newest location is coming soon to Goodyear at 15375 W. McDowell Rd.

The company’s third location is set to replace Cantina Gueros in the Goodyear Centerpointe later this year, according to the company’s social media. Owner Mario Tello tells What Now Jacksonville that he hopes to open the new site by the first week of April and is currently looking for staff. When it opens, customers can expect the same menu and ambiance as the first two locations, found in Phoenix at 6542 W Indian School Rd and in Glendale at 17037 N 59th Ave.

When the new location opens, there will be everything from appetizers, soups, and salads to fajitas, chimichangas, desserts, and breakfast options. Some of the Popo’s specials include a Corona battered fish burrito, made with beer battered fish, cabbage, tartar sauce and pico de Gallo; El Pollo Especial, which s a shredded chicken burro, deep fried, smothered in Spanish sauce and topped with spicy jalapeno cream cheese; and a monster burrito, made with two flour tortillas stuffed with rice, beans, pico de gallo, grilled onions, bell peppers and cheese.

In addition to delicious Mexican food and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Popo’s Fiesta Del Sol offers several different specials throughout the week, including an all-you-can-eat Monday, $2 margaritas on Tuesday, and build-your-own burritos on Wednesday. Every day, the restaurant offers a happy hour from 3 pm to 7 pm, where the majority of drinks, including margaritas and craft beers, are on sale. Certain items are only available at the Glendale location.
