The retail center on the northwest corner of West Oakland Park Boulevard and North University Drive is preparing to welcome a new bakery and restaurant into its business community. Eve’s Bakery & Restaurant will open at 8053 W Oakland Park Boulevard, co-owner Evelie Caneus told What Now on Thursday.
Eve’s Bakery & Restaurant will offer a variety of baked goods, custom cakes, and a selection of dishes from Caribbean and American cuisines (although the menu is still under development, Caneus said). Eve’s will also offer catering for events big and small, be they birthday parties or wedding receptions (with cakes!).
“We will do custom cakes, with any design a person wants, including a picture on the cake.”
Caneus added that Eve’s Bakery & Restaurant will also emphasize healthful foods on its menu.
“We will do our best to make healthy food,” Caneus said. “It will be good for people who have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, for example. We want to please every single client.”
Eve’s Bakery is currently in the permitting process and is waiting to begin construction soon. No official opening date has been announced.
