Founded as food truck in Kapolei, Hawaii in 2016, Grinds 2 Da Max made the move to the Ninth Island back in 2019. Since then, it has been offering a selection of Hawaiian favorites for delivery, along with providing catering.

Currently serving from its location at 6825 W Russell Road Apt 135, Grinds 2 Da Max is preparing to open—or rather, reopen, since it has operated there previously—in the Campus Commons Food Court. Licensing paperwork submitted to the City of Las Vegas shows Grinds 2 Da Max opening at 6475 W Charleston Blvd #130.

What Now confirmed news of the reopening with co-owner Rocky Kiyuna, who said the Campus Commons opening is a kind of homecoming.

“We started here,” Kiyuna said.

Asked what dishes have tended to be the most popular, Kiyuna named the Dynamite Chicken Katsu and the Lemon Butter Garlic Shrimp as a few examples. But this is a menu full of flavorful choices, whether you’re in the mood for chicken dishes like Furikake Korean Chicken, pork dishes like Kalua Pig, Ahi dishes like the Dynamite Ahi Katsu, poke, fried noodles, or “Island Favorites” like Kalua Pig Nachos.

“We are dedicated to providing the highest quality food and service to our guests,” says the Grinds 2 Da Max website. “Come visit us and see for yourself!”
