Husband and wife duo Nick Anderer and Natalie Johnson are opening Leon’s in Greenwich Village later this year. Described as an all-day Italian restaurant, Leon’s will serve Italian food with hints of Egyptian and French cuisine as well.

They also co–founded Anton’s, a nostalgic New York café & wine bar at the corner of West 11th & Hudson Streets. That concept focuses on blending eclectic American cuisine with European elements.

Leon’s is named after Johnson’s great grandfather, while Anton’s is named for Anderer’s great, great grandfather.

An instagram post by @leonsnyc and @antonsnyc reads, “Construction is underway, and we’re hoping to open sometime in the next few months (early fall). We’re thrilled about this opportunity to grow our incredible team across both restaurants.”

A post by @newopeningsnyc on Instagram shows that signage has gone up around doors and windows on the corner of Broadway and West 12th.

What Now NY did not immediately hear back from the Leon’s team in regard to a request for a comment.
