After nearly 30 years of delighting New York diners, a long-time Empire State culinary favorite is preparing to share its delicious Italian menu with one if its closest neighbors. Serafina, known for its homestyle meals and high-profile clientele, is ready to make its Garden State debut, according to local media outlet NJ.com.
The popular concept will be bringing authentic Italian flare to a Tenafly space at 25 Highwood Avenue that had previously only housed Asian restaurants. The building has been occupied by Sachun House, Asian Fusion Restaurant, and Hong Bo Suk. Serafina is hoping to have a longer and more fruitful stay when it opens in the storefront.
While a precise opening date is not currently available, the Tenafly Chamber of Commerce states that Serafina should be ready to serve guests this spring.
Founded in New York City by friends Vittoria Assaf and Fabio Granato, Serafina prides itself on using 100% Italian ingredients at all of its restaurants. The owners themselves visit the farms that produce the restaurant’s resources to ensure the quality remains unimpeachable.
Serafina’s superior ingredients are utilized in a broad menu with a wide range of Italian favorites. Perhaps most impressive is the eatery’s expansive pizza list, offering everything from the standard but essential margherita to more unconventional pies like the champagne pizza.
