A new Asian hot pot restaurant, Top One, located at 1914 S Power Rd #101, is preparing to debut soon in Mesa.
The new restaurant is set to move into the former home of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Superstition Springs Shopping Center, according to a recent liquor license. Owner Allen Li tells What Now Phoenix that he expects to open the new location sometime next month, likely in the second half of August. The new 2,500-square-foot restaurant will offer authentic flavors of Asia through the hot pot style, where customers cook their food and a handful of alcoholic drinks.
This will be an excellent location for the new restaurant, considering how much foot traffic it will receive from other nearby businesses. On top of being across the street from Superstition Springs Shopping Mall and Superstition Springs Center, the new Top One concept will be near The Villages at Superstition Springs and Lumos Arts Academy. Another reason this location will be great for the new restaurant is the lack of competition with other hot pot restaurants. This will be one of the few hot pot restaurants in east Phoenix.
This new restaurant is not to be confused with another recently opened hot pot eatery. Li tells What Now Phoenix that his new Top One restaurant is an entirely different company than the recently opened One Pot, which opened this month at the southwest corner of Broadway and Dobson roads in west Mesa. While the restaurants are different, they will offer the same type of food, with different soup options and plenty of delicious meats.
Editor’s Note: The owner initially named the concept One Pot but renamed it Top One.
