According to a recently submitted permit application, Killer Burger — “the fast-growing better burger concept offering meticulously crafted, award-winning burgers” — is opening its second outpost in San Antonio.
Coming to 7511 S New Braunfels Avenue, #105, the eatery will land near establishments such as Dave’s Hot Chicken, Pluckers, and Stout House.
Founder and franchisee of the upcoming spot TJ Southard tells What Now San Antonio that he founded Killer Burger in 2010 in the Pacific Northwest before recently relocating to Alamo City.
“I packed up my life and moved to San Antonio to start the next chapter… San Antonio is a place that I’ve wanted to be for quite some time,” he shares.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the business, the concept is known for its burgers made of “100% natural beef seared to perfection and always served up with bacon,” according to its website.
“Home of the Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon burger, we also serve up the American Classic and other unique ingredient hamburgers – voted best 5 years in a row for a reason. Local craft beers on tap, rock on the stereo, and everyone is welcome,” the introduction continues.
Additionally, the filing reveals that the interior build-out of the 2,229-square-foot spot is slated to begin on March 1 and finish on July 1, and will cost an estimated $500,000 to complete.
