Roswell taqueria, sports bar, and live music venue Rock āNā Taco is expanding to Cumming, Georgia, the restaurant Thursday announced.
The new location — the second for the company — will be part of Cumming City Center, a new mixed-use development featuring restaurants, retail shops, pocket parks, a mini-golf course, and an outdoor amphitheater linked with pedestrian trails.
āThe city of Cumming is a great fit for Rock āNā Taco. We have worked closely with the mayor and the city and appreciate their support,ā Rock ‘N’ Taco Co-Owner Brad Hancock said in a press release. āWe also have a great team of managers, kitchen staff, bartenders, and busboys. We couldnāt bring this dream to life without them.ā
Hancock developed the original concept for Rock āNā Taco and has roots in the restaurant world and the music world, according to the release. His father owned and operated a restaurant in the building where the Roswell Rock āNā Taco is located, and Hancock, his father, and two sons are all drummers.
āMy business partner John Michael Brunetti and I wanted to open a place where everyone could come and enjoy music or a game and meet with friends,ā says Hancock. āItās been a tremendous partnership.ā
Rock āNā Taco has built a brand around its belief in ācover bands, not cover charges.ā The venue has featured local musicians who have gone on to compete on āThe Voiceā and āAmerican Idolā and focuses on the music of the ā70s, ā80s, and ā90s. The Cumming restaurant will exude the same ambiance as the Roswell location with walls decorated with music memorabilia, signed guitar plaques, and platinum records. It will have the capacity to seat 200 guests and feature a rooftop bar overlooking the Cumming City Center amphitheater that can be booked for private events.
āWeāre excited to bring the same experience thatās rocked Roswell for the last three years to Cumming this fall,ā Brunetti said.
The new Rock āNā Taco location will continue to host live music Wednesday through Saturday nights and show sporting events like NFL and college football, Atlanta Braves games, and select pay-per-view events. With plans in the works for more than 25 TVs including a large LED screen, Rock āNā Taco will be a destination for sports fans in the Cumming area.
Rock āNā Taco menu offers Tex-Mex classics from chips and salsa and fajitas to quesadillas and mix-and-match tacos. Music fans and sports aficionados alike will enjoy the selection of specialty ārocktailsā named after musical icons.
The Cumming City Center location is slated to open in September 2023, just in time for football season.
