Delirama — known for its “Pyro’s pastrami,” also known as barrel-aged brisket brined, smoked, and steamed in small batches — “will close for good after February 4,” according to Berkeleyside.
A statement on the business’s website reads, “Thank you so much for supporting us in the past 1.5 years. After a heavy year, we have decided that the only viable option for us is to close our doors and make room for a new concept. We have had the pleasure of meeting and serving you all. This is not a farewell as we will be back with something new very soon and better than ever.”
While Deilrama’s Co-Founder Anahita Cahn is leaving the business behind, Co-Founder Cash Caris tells Berkeleyside that the Delirama location at 1746 Solano Avenue and the satellite space in Oakland will soon reemerge as new concepts and that further details will be “coming soon.”
