According to a recently submitted permit application, the national coffee shop chain Qargo Coffee plans to debut a new outpost in Berkeley.

Coming to 2344 Telegraph Avenue, taking over a space formerly home to Noah’s Bagels, the cafe will land near establishments such as Blondie’s Pizza, Freshroll, and Kip’s Bar & Grill.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, “Qargo Coffee is a specialty coffee shop proudly serving world-famous, sustainably-sourced Lavazza coffee, inspired handcrafted drinks, delicious Italian pastries, tasty baked goods, lunch and snack options,” according to the business’s website.

“Founded in 2020, the Florida-based company is on a mission to create a new coffee shop experience, and their locations create an oasis for a moment of relaxation, intimate conversation, the gathering of friends, and most importantly to empower the creator,” the introduction continues.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the franchisee, Gamal Jinham, to inquire about the expansion, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
