Emeryville-based The Bureau 510, an “industrial-chic” eatery that serves “a global mix of street eats and comfort foods,” is expanding to Alameda. According to a recent beer and wine license application, the restaurant will make its West Alameda debut at 1531 Webster Street, neighboring popular establishments like Bhan Mae Vane, Cafe Jolie, Phnom Penh House, and The Fireside Lounge.

The restaurant’s menu boasts specialty burgers, “alternative” plates — like fried soft-shell crab, banh mi, and Korean-style marinated short ribs — soup, salad, and “small stuff,” including ceviche, onion rings, and fried calamari. For dessert, diners can enjoy a Belgian waffle topped with vanilla gelato or an affogato.

While an opening date and other pertinent details haven’t yet been announced, if the Alameda spot follows Emeryville’s lead, it will be open for lunch and dinner, and have a happy hour that runs from 4:30 to 6:30 pm from Monday through Friday.
