Katy will gain a stand-alone baseball and softball-themed venue that features 12 simulated hitting bays, a full-service restaurant and bar, and a backyard mini-field. Home Run Dugout, developed by founders Nick Hermandorfer and Tyler “Bam Bam” Bambrick, will be located at 1220 Grand West Blvd. in Katy. The venue could open to the public in the spring of 2023.
While swapping stories on a fishing boat in Canada, Hermandorfer and Bambrick shared that the best feeling they could remember was hitting a home run. From there, the dream of Home Run Dugout was born. “And for us, we really just want to get a bat in more people’s hands and share our favorite feeling — bringing people of all walks together around a shared passion, for a great time,” according to the Home Run Dugout website.
Home Run Dugout is a great place to spend some time playing ball on a date or with friends and family. The patent-pending batting bay and ground-up pitching machines tailor games to all skill levels and track the speed, distance, and direction of the hits to display on screens.
The menu will offer high-quality hamburgers and nachos, wood-fired vegetable salads, tuna poke bowls, and more. The brand’s signature Dugout Dog, which is grilled to order, is a fan favorite.
Home Run Dugout will offer more than 20 craft beers and cocktails, plus a large patio, live music, and a dog park for furry family members. Home Run Dugout currently has one location at the stadium at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
