At the crossroads of Creekside Forest Drive and Timarron Drive located at Creekside Park Village Center, a new establishment promises to become the next go-to destination for both locals and tourists alike. This innovative concept comes from none other than the co-owners of the renowned McDonald Entertainment Group, Mack and Tan McDonald.

Tan McDonald, in a recent interview, delved deep into the roots and aspirations behind their newest establishment. The duo, who previously launched The Rouxpour 14 years ago to introduce Louisiana cuisine to the area, now run four successful locations. Their penchant for the hospitality sector doesn’t end there; they’re also the proud owners of the Briscoe Manor wedding event venue, which is undergoing some rebranding after its acquisition a year ago.

But suggestions were being made for various styles of cuisine and added to the list for The Rouxpour’s menu recently by their family, and then it was quickly realized that a new concept should be created. Enter Mack Allen’s, derived from the co-owner’s name (with “Allen” being Mack’s middle name), which seeks to capture the essence of the family behind its inception. “Our whole family loves food and loves to cook,” says Tan. So, a multi-cultured, fusion menu is in the works while being taste-tested to ensure the blends are cooked properly prior to opening.

Having both worked in the gas and oil industry, Mack and Tan bring a unique perspective to their ventures. Mack Allen’s, housed under the larger umbrella of the McDonald Entertainment Group, is no exception. One of its standout features is the whiskey tasting room—a nod to connoisseurs and enthusiasts. Additionally, the venue has an atmospheric, moody section juxtaposed with a brighter, airy space, ensuring diverse experiences under a single roof. Nature lovers will find solace in the patio, which promises connectivity with the natural surroundings. And for those special occasions? A private space for events will also be available.

Drawing inspiration from the renowned MacArthur Place hotel in California, Mack Allen’s aims to blend luxury with comfort. But beyond the grandeur and the gourmet, the McDonald brand, according to Tan, thrives on building and nurturing relationships.

Mack Allen’s official launch is expected in the second half of 2024.
