Come April, Las Vegas area residents and visitors will have a new food trailer option that will feature home-cooked meals. The Trolley is the first food trailer for Carmen I. Albino, who is owner and chef. “This is all new to us,” said Albino, who is from Puerto Rico.
Albino is still working to finalize the menu but thinks some of the menu favorites will be the stuffed bell peppers, the stuffed cabbage, and the raviolis.
“Carmen is a fantastic cook,” said Michael Walton, who is helping her design and build The Trolley, as well as helping with sales. “This is her dream,” he shared, “and she deserves it.”
They’ve been sharing her home-cooked dishes with friends, family, and Walton’s co-workers. Those who have tried Albino’s food insisted they open a restaurant, so they started looking at food trucks and discovered The Trolley on Craigslist. They gutted it and renovated it. “And now we’ll be able to serve home-cooking meals on wheels,” Walton said.
Walton told What Now Vegas that there is no other food truck or trailer in Las Vegas like The Trolley. “We see it being a major hit.”
They plan to set up The Trolley at locations across Las Vegas and will participate in various events. “Once you taste it, you’ll definitely come back for more and more. We plan on serving nice portions where you get your money’s worth,” Walton said.
