Last year, Nigro Construction broke ground on Decatur Commons, a mixed-use retail center anchored by a SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel. Fast-forward a little over a year and SpringHill Suites is ready to open its doors and welcome its first set of travelers on July 18, 2023.
The 127-room, all-suite SpringHill Suites is centrally located on Decatur Boulevard at CC-215 at 6590 South Decatur Blvd., delivering easy access around the valley thanks to its proximity to the Las Vegas Strip and business landmarks including Allegiant Stadium, Mandalay Bay Convention Center, T-Mobile Arena, Switch, and Harry Reid International Airport.
SpringHill Suites offers spacious and comfortable rooms along with complimentary hot breakfast daily, in-room microwaves and mini refrigerators, in-suite workstations with free wi-fi, and the three-in-one sofa trundle. The 75,000 square foot property includes a dining room, meeting space, pool and hot tub, fitness center, and a 24-hour marketplace. SpringHill Suites is also pet-friendly for those traveling with their four-legged friends.
“At Nigro, we build different product types all over the valley and have developed specific expertise in developing and constructing branded hotels. SpringHill Suites was exciting to build due to its central Las Vegas location and being part of a mixed-use retail center,” said Mike Nigro, President of Nigro Construction in a statement. “There were many challenges to constructing a hotel in such a busy, central corridor but we enjoy solving the unique challenges that come up with these complex projects.”
SpringHill Suites joins tenants Starbucks and Dotty’s gaming lounge in the retail development, all projects that were previously constructed by Nigro Construction.
Finding a niche in non-gaming properties, SpringHill Suites by Marriott is the fifth hotel in Southern Nevada that the Nigro family of companies, including Nigro Construction and Nigro Development, built, own, and operate.
