Just north of the intersection between South Decatur Boulevard and Alta Drive, a new Wingstop is preparing to open its doors. Paperwork submitted by Milton Restaurant Group LLC shows a new Wingstop opening at 450 S Decatur Blvd. 105.

Founded in Garland, Texas, Wingstop was immediately popular when it came on the scene in 1994, but it’s hard to imagine anyone could have foreseen that this brand would grow in the next few decades to encompass the globe, with more than 2,000 locations currently open worldwide.

“Wingstop is the destination when you crave fresh never faked wings, hand-cut seasoned fries and any of our famous sides,” says the Wingstop website’s About Us page. “For people who demand flavor in everything they do, there’s only Wingstop – because it’s more than a meal, it’s a flavor experience.”

Wingstop offers wings, thighs, and tenders served up with sauces that cover a wide variety of flavor profiles. There are spicy flavors like Atomic, Spicy Korean Q, and Mango Habanero, or—if you’re looking for something with less of a burn—there are choices like Garlic Parmesan and Lemon Pepper. A selection of sides includes Cajun Fried Corn, Veggie Sticks, and fries.

The location at 450 S Decatur Boulevard will join Decatur Commons Senior Apartments in a building across the street from Alta Decatur Shopping Village, which is itself home to restaurants like On-zon Thai Cuisine and Lou’s Diner.
