The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported last fall on documents indicating that Resorts World Las Vegas might be getting a Happy Lamb Hot Pot location.

“A person familiar with restaurants at the property, who was not authorized to speak publicly, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that a hot pot project is currently out to bid, a project that might involve the Happy Lamb chain that began in Asia,” said the RJ coverage.

This week, What Now found paperwork showing a building permit has been issued for a project called “Happy Lamb Hot Pot” at Resorts World Las Vegas, with a contract valuation of $2,000,000.

A representative of the resort declined to comment yet on news of a Happy Lamb location opening at Resorts World. The representative said, however, that the resort will be making an announcement regarding an upcoming restaurant soon.

In other words, the mystery will remain for a little longer, but it’s clear that some big news is on the way for Resorts World.

Opening at Resorts World, a new hot pot restaurant would join a culinary roster that includes concepts like Aqua Seafood & Caviar Restaurant, Bar Zazu, Brezza, Carversteak, and Fuhu.
