With three locations in Las Vegas—on the Eastside, in Chinatown, and on the StripYama Sushi appears to be preparing to launch a new location Downtown. Licensing paperwork submitted to Clark County by Yama Fremont, LLC shows Yama Sushi & Kimchi opening at 116 N Third Street.

Behind Yama Fremont, LLC are owners Obong Kwon (of concepts like All You Korean BBQ and Ramen Aku), In Chun Lee, and Yong Ha Chung.

What Now reached out to Obong Kwon on Friday to ask about plans for Yama Fremont, which would be the brand’s fourth location. Kwon was not immediately available for comment.

The menu at Yama Sushi’s Chinatown location features appetizers like Edamame, Yakitori, Takoyaki, and much more. These lead the way into special rolls like the Yama Roll (tempura shrimp roll with eel, shrimp, avocado layered on top), the Devil Roll (spicy tuna roll with green onion and spicy mayo), and the You the Man Roll (spicy salmon roll with jalapeno, green onion and spicy mayo).

Opening on Third Street, the new location would be part of the vibrant Fremont Street community, home to attractions like Neonopolis, the Downtown Container Park, and the Fremont Street Experience.
