Shabu-shabu, the beloved Japanese hotpot experience centering thin-sliced meats and vegetables dipped in a pot of hot broth, is gaining a bigger presence in Las Vegas. And now a new shabu-shabu spot is getting added to the mix: Square Shabu, which will launch at 3700 S Hualapai Way, according to licensing paperwork submitted to Clark County.

“Shabu-shabu is getting more popular right now,” a Square Shabu representative told What Now, citing several restaurant currently operating in Chinatown. “Plus, the all-you-can-eat trend is big currently.”

The Square Shabu menu is still under development, but expect lots of premium beef, plus beer and wine—all in a setting that seats about 70 guests at tables built to accommodate the collective hot pot of broth.

Opening in the Hualapai Way location, Square Shabu will join restaurants like Roma Cafe, Dim Sum Café, and PT’S Gold.

Square Shabu’s opening is expected for September.
