The national Ohio-based chain Marco’s Pizza will soon be expanding into Hutto, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The location will occupy a 1,521 square foot suite at 6111 FM 1660, within suite 300. The restaurant, as three other Central Texas-area Marco’s Pizza locations, will be run by franchisee Kenny Kendrick.

“Hutto’s a fast-growing small community,” Mr. Kendrick tells What Now Austin, as he explains that Hutto’s suburban position and growth rate in relation to Austin makes it an ideal location for a Marco’s Pizza. Given Mr. Kendrick’s success with his three previous Austin-area locations, it is likely that a Hutto store will follow the trend.

Founded in Oregon, Ohio in 1978 by Pat Giammarco, Marco’s Pizza has become a highly successful fast-casual pizza restaurant, with over 1,100 stores in the continental U.S., Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. Apart from the eponymous pizza, the brand also serves pizza bowls, salads, cheezy bread, and a chicken club. For dessert, customers may enjoy cinnasquares, or cinammon-and-sugar dusted pizza bread.

When asked why he chose to franchise Marco’s Pizza stores as opposed to other national pizza chains, Mr. Kendrick proudly states, “I feel that it is the absolute best product from a quality and taste perspective.”

Those looking to evaluate the product for themselves can anticipate the Hutto store to open in mid-2023 at the latest, depending on the state of the supply and delivery of needed restaurant equipment.
