Laotian Restaurant Headed to East Austin

According to a recent report in Eater, food truck Sekse Fud Ko will open Lao’d Bar, a new Laotian restaurant this year out at 9909 Farm to Market Road 969, Building 4 in East Austin.

The restaurant will be a full-service one, according to the report, serving up a menu that “contemporary Laotian that is more like Laotian American” menu alongside cocktails, lagers, and rice lagers.

Beyond this, little information is available. Eager readers can visit Sekse Fud Ko at 415 St. Elmo Rd where they can sample owner Bob Somsith’s blend of “southern American and southeast Asian flavors and cooking techniques resulting in a uniquely familiar yet modernized product while staying true to its traditional origins.”

The restaurant is anticipated to open on March 1.
