Sollena’s Pizza, owned by Giuseppe and Loredana Castiglione, long-time residents of Sewell in Washington Township, will soon be demolished. In its place, they plan to build an entirely new shopping center and a brand new, from-the-ground-up Sollena’s Pizza. The Castigliones own the land parcel.

There will be other units within the shopping center that will be available for rental. The new shopping area will span 7,200 square feet and roughly 4 units of 1,200 square feet of space are open for potential tenants. Sollena’s new restaurant space will make use of two of the building’s segments or 2,400 square feet within the building, per 42freeway.com.

The restaurant has been faithfully serving pizza pies to Washington Township for 30 years. Sollena’s Pizza has had some setbacks in the recent past when a fire broke out in their restaurant and they were forced to close for a few weeks.

When What Now Philadelphia spoke with owner Loredana Castiglione on Wednesday, she said that more details would be forthcoming in the future.

Sollena’s is a family spot with a traditional Italian pizza menu and new style offerings like chicken fingers, wings, fries. The menu states, “Our pizza is made with only the finest ingredients. Our dough & sauce is made fresh daily & we use only the finest Italian cheeses.” You’ll find Sicilian style pizzas, Hawaiian pizza, and even a Chicken Parm Pizza for the more adventurous palates.
