Ed Webber and Brandon Wellington, the team behind Bucks County micro cattle ranch Jericho Mountain Beef Company, will be debuting their newest concept, Broad Street Brewing, at 2621 Durham Rd. While brewing operations are set to kick off mid-April, the taproom won’t open until late May.
Jericho Mountain Beef will actually be providing some of the food for the taproom, in what Webber calls “the circle of beef and beer,” adding, “The spent grain from the brewery feeds the cows, and the cows have been very happy on doing it.”
“It’s been a fun creation of this aspect,” Webber tells What Now Philadelphia. “The farming component’s been one of those aspects we want to maintain as a sort of – call it, a trash neutral kind of company – but Broad Street Brewing is going to make it a lot more fun.”
In addition to the cuts coming from Jericho Mountain, Broad Street will also partner with nearby Sal’s Deli, as well as local food trucks. Meanwhile, wines and spirits will be on offer from various makers across Pennsylvania.
“It’s not your typical tasting room,” says Webber, but it’s also “not like [local breweries] Iron Hill or Triumph. It’s more of a hybrid of those two.”
