A Lower Paxton favorite is bringing a taste of the Caribbean to Harrisburg. Got Jerk Island Grill is moving operations from its old home in Dauphin County to Midtown Harrisburg in early 2024, reports local media outlet Penn Live.

The restaurant has already ceased operations at 4220 Union Deposit Road and will be relocating to 1313 North 2nd Street, in the building that formerly housed Ted’s Bar & Grill. Got Jerk co-founder Benjamin Anderson tells What Now Philadelphia that the eatery simply outgrew its old location, stating “For four years, we were previously located in a convenience store in Union Deposit. We decided to relocate due to our outgrowing that space.”

The new location will put Got Jerk in the midst of Harrisburg’s commerce and livelihood. Anderson explains “We chose 1313 N 2nd St. in Harrisburg because of its proximity to the downtown district, which also features many government agencies.”

Future fans may not have to wait too much longer to sample the restaurant’s signature sauce and delicious cuisine. Got Jerk recently passed its inspection for its new location and is proceeding swiftly along.

Got Jerk is certain to enhance its new Midtown home, bringing a unique dining experience and a welcoming atmosphere to the neighborhood. Anderson states “Customers can expect 100% authentic Caribbean cuisine, such as our jumbo Caribbean jerk wings – a fan favorite! Our tropical juice bar and warm, friendly atmosphere will be  welcome features to the midtown area.”
