Pennsylvanians will soon be able to find a brief respite from the winter’s cold with the warm tastes of one of today’s hottest food trends. Poke Bowls, a popular and expanding brand that specializes in the titular dish, is opening a location in Norristown in early 2024, reports local media outlet More Than the Curve.
The chain’s latest location is slated to open at 97 East Germantown Pike. A press release provided to What Now Philadelphia states that an opening date is yet to be determined, though a representative for the brand states that Poke Bros will begin serving hungry customers soon.
Founder Xue Gong Chen explains that Poke Bros brings something new and valuable to the crowded fast-food landscape “Most fast food options out there are the same old fried food. We’re proud that Poke Bros gives people something that’s quick and easy for lunch or dinner but with fresh, healthy ingredients and great flavor. Good food should be easy to grab on the go.”
Poke Bros follows an assembly-line model that allows guests to choose from signature recipe bowls or to curate their own dishes. The made-to-order meals provide healthy, fast-casual alternatives, ranging from fish, vegetable, and rice bowls, to poke nachos and seaweed salads. Guests can round out their meals with mochi ice cream.
Poke Bros first opened its doors in Columbus, Ohio, in 2016. The chain has grown to include 72 stores in 13 states, including Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Delaware, Indiana, and Illinois.
