The Eatontown brunch crowd has reason to rejoice in 2024. First Watch, one of the country’s top breakfast, brunch, and lunch chains, is making moves towards opening a location in Monmouth County, reports local media outlet Asbury Park Press.

The popular restaurant has submitted paperwork to open at the intersection of Route 35 and Wyckoff Road with the Eatontown Planning Board. First Watch will be taking over the 3,950 square-foot building vacated by Toys R Us. Once renovations are complete, the restaurant will also feature an outdoor dining area.

While the eatery is hoping to open its first Monmouth County location before the end of this year, it still needs community approval, making it impossible to offer an estimated opening date. Its first public hearing will be held on March 4.

First Watch has experienced massive success since its debut in 1983. The corporate-owned chain has expanded to include 500 locations across 29 states.
