A popular ice cream chain is bringing sweet relief to the Jersey heat this summer. Van Leeuwen ice cream is bringing its celebrated scoops to Jersey City this July.

The refreshing concept will be serving its treats out of 347 Grove Street, a space that formerly housed Borinquen Laundromat. The new location will afford Leeuwen 1, 494 square feet to greet and serve guests.

The growing ice cream eatery has chosen its second Garden State location strategically. Grove Street is located in the midst of Jersey City’s active downtown region, and is within walking distance from restaurant row.

Van Leeuwen ice cream has made a name for itself by offering a wide and impressive range of flavors, both traditional and unexpected. The brand also features vegan selections, a hot commodity in the current dining market. Van Leeuwen’s vanilla bean ice cream has been named the best vanilla ice cream by NYT Wirecutter.
