An innovative New Jersey bakery is preparing to introduce Aberdeen to its new favorite bagels. The Bagel Nook, known and loved for its creative interpretation of the titular carb, is opening a new location in the area, reports local media outlet Asbury Park Press.

The eatery is opening its fourth Garden State shop in the Aberdeen Town Square Center. The Bagel Nook will be taking over the space at 1071 Route 34 that previously housed Cluck U Chicken. An opening timeline is not currently available.

Greg Caso, who also owns and runs a The Bagel Nook franchise location in Princeton, is helming the store.

The Aberdeen location is part of a larger push for expansion. Owner Alex Berkowitz tells What Now Philadelphia that the company will be opening six new The Bagel Nook franchises in 2024. He states “We’re 9 years in business and growing!”

With new locations come exciting new menu items. Berkowitz says customers can look forward to “New frozen drinks- Nookuccino’s Oreo, birthday cake, caramel and M & M.” Despite these changes, The Bagel Nook has no intentions of deviating from the methods and recipes that have earned it-and its bagels-such a high reputation. “All the bagels are made fresh daily. Boiled and baked.” Berkowitz states, adding “The old school way! Nothing frozen.”

The Bagel Nook will also be introducing toasted almond and mudslide coffee flavors for the summer.

While The Bagel Nook offers the simple, classic favorites like sesame or everything bagels, it sets itself apart from other bakeries through its indulgent Overload bagels. These unique treats are stuffed with a wide range of decadent fillings, ranging from cookie dough to Oreos. Customers hoping for a more savory option can choose from The Bagel Nook’s impressive selection of breakfast sandwiches.
