The minds behind some of Philadelphia’s dreamiest cookies are plotting a new location. Insomnia Cookies will be baking up fresh batches of their signature sweet treats in a new storefront in Fishtown, reports The Philadelphia Business Journal.
The bakery will be moving into 17 West Girard Avenue. Insomnia has opted not to reveal an opening timeline at this point.
Insomnia Cookies has experienced impressive growth since its inception in 2003. What began as a solution to late night cravings for some enterprising friends at the University of Pennsylvania has become a snacking standard. The chain has expanded to over 265 stores across the United States. Insomnia generally chooses locations near colleges and universities, to better serve hungry students in need of late night study fuel.
The brand will soon be opening its first South Jersey location in Cherry Hill.
Insomnia Cookies offers a sweet for every taste. In addition to an impressive selection of cookies, ranging from classics like chocolate chip to more elaborate options like s’mores, the menu features brownies, ice cream, and cookie cakes.
