The next evolution of Taco Bell is making its way to Philadelphia this year. Franchisee Danny Patel is bringing a Taco Bell Cantina to the City of Brotherly Love, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Rittenhouse Square will be welcoming the unique concept to 1614 Chestnut Street. The space will span 3,000 square feet and accommodate up to 50 customers. Guests will still be able to enjoy the well-established Taco Bell menu at the Cantina, just in an elevated environment. The restaurant will not include a drive-thru, but the interior will feature an open kitchen design.
Several of the restaurants offer alcohol, however Patel is not yet certain whether Philly’s first Cantina will have beer, wine, and cocktails on the menu. He is hoping to have the establishment open before the end of 2024.
Patel believes that the unique approach to Taco Bell’s beloved cuisine will flourish in Rittenhouse. He states “This Cantina concept is only good for such high-foot-traffic areas, so I think that this will fit in perfect in this environment.”
