Grab a tall glass of milk, Jersey diners, because the Garden State is about to get a little sweeter, with an assist from some warm cookies. Insomnia Cookies, an established favorite among hungry college students, is opening a new location in Cherry Hill.

The bakery, currently described only as “coming soon”, is moving into a space at 1006 Haddonfield Road that formerly housed FastSigns. While a precise opening timeline is not currently available, Insomnia has begun hiring staff and signage has been hung, indicating that the bakery will begin greeting customers relatively soon.

Insomnia Cookies came to life as the solution to late-night snack cravings among college students. Seth Berkowitz founded the company in 2003 when he was a student at the University of Pennsylvania. The chain now has over 265 locations spread across the United States. Insomnia stays open late-most stores remain active until 3 a.m.-serving a wide range of cookies, cookie sandwiches, cookies cakes, and ice cream.
