One of the fastest growing chicken chains on the market is looking towards the future. Raising Cane’s is scouting locations for six new locations in the Philadelphia region, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The chain will be opening the new restaurants in Delaware, South Jersey, and southeastern Pennsylvania through 2027. While Raising Cane’s has not revealed the precise locations for the Jersey and Pennsylvania stores, regional vice president Warren Sewell confirms that the brand is looking to Dover and Wilmington as potential Delaware homes.

Raising Cane’s is currently focusing on suburban markets for new northeastern restaurants. Sewell believes that potential customers will react positively to having stores closer to home where they won’t have to travel as far to enjoy Cane’s signature chicken fingers. He states “The customer base out there right now is traveling into the city, or to the closest location they can.”

Raising Cane’s already has six locations established for the area, across Philadelphia and New Jersey. However, Sewell states that there is still considerable undeveloped space in South Jersey the brand is hoping to set up base in.
