A hip and unusual concept is preparing to combine two great tastes-sustainable fashion and delicious tacos-under one Fishtown roof. Garage Sale Vintage is opening its first Philly location in the neighborhood next year, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The innovative establishment will be reinvigorating the groundfloor space at 1148 Frankford Avenue that previously housed Kensington National Bank. The 6,000 square foot building will provide ample space for both retail operations and a taco and margarita bar.

Garage Sale Vintage offers customers both the chance to shop and to sell. The ethically-minded company strives to circumnavigate fast fashion by giving used but still good clothing a chance at a second life.

Visitors who work up an appetite can grab a taco or a margarita without having to leave the building. Garage Sale Vintage’s menu focuses on street tacos, complete with vegetarian options, as well as a range of beverages. Adult patrons can choose from margaritas, beer, and wine, while sober guests may opt for a mocktail.

Garage Sale Vintage founder Josh Sampson believes the brand’s unique and retro ethos blends well with the Fishtown creative community. He states: “It just has that nostalgic, artistic gravity that is seductive for creatives to hang out. It’s the perfect time to be there.”
