With locations in Oviedo and Celebration already, Maple Street Biscuit Company is increasing their central Florida footprint with an Orlando unit. According to their website, the new location will be home at 11810 Glass House Lane, Suite 140

During a phone interview with Founder and CEO Scott Moore, What Now Orlando confirmed that the Maple Street location will be appearing in a new strip construction with three other retail spaces. Currently, Maple Street’s unit is still under construction, and Moore is aiming for a late May opening.

Founded in 2012 by Moore and Gus Evans in Florida, Maple Street Biscuit Company grew substantially to 33 locations in seven states by 2019. Then, Cracker Barrel acquired the company in an upfront cash purchase of $36 million. Moore has remained CEO of Maple Street and reports to Sandra Cochran, CEO and president of Cracker Barrel.

The fast-casual restaurant shares similarities with Cracker Barrel in that they are both known for serving breakfast and other comfort foods. However, Maple Street aims to offer these culinary traditions with a modern twist. For instance, a menu staple is the Squawking Goat, an all-natural fried chicken biscuit with a fried goat cheese medallion and house made pepper jelly. They also offer specialty coffees.
